Learn to build a cold frame and the Grange Farm School!!

For only $50.00 and you can bring home with you your cold frame you built from the workshop, all materials included…THESE ARE LITTLE LAKE GRANGE WINDOWS!!! AWESOME! 

Come for one of two work sessions 

9-12, or 1-4 with an hour lunch made by the beautiful Rachel Britten!

During lunch there will be a discussion on Astronomy led by Takashi Yogi! He’s set up his sun telescope and has been watching the patterns all day. We’ve also been doing a lot more preparing with pre cutting the appropriate pieces of wood, and getting the glass all nice and cleaned.

CHECK OUT SOME OF THE ONES WE’VE BEEN BUILDING TODAY AS PRACTICE! 

You will be learning about and constructing a cold frame of your own to take home with you the same day.
If you’re not familiar, a cold frame is a transparent-roofed enclosure, built low to the ground, used to protect plants from adverse weather, primarily cold and wind. Used for extending your season!

For $50 dollars you get a classic, farm fresh lunch, and you will get to participate in the workshop with all materials included; windows, hardware, 2×2’s, siding, and tools. Tools may be limited so we suggest that you bring your own measuring tape, cordless drill, and pencil.
There is also a second option to attend the workshop and lunch at $30 dollars and bring with you your own materials or to just watch and learn.

Both options include informative and instructive workshop, lunch, tour, and lecture.
