Learn to Grow High Caloric Crops: Session 5
June 1, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
$15Can you fill your belly with a truly satisfying meal from the plants growing in your garden? Or, from locally grown food? This hands-on course focuses on growing five high caloric crops (potatoes, beans, corn, squash and quinoa). Twelve bi-monthly sessions span the growing season and include both classroom and field work. Some of the crop yields will be available for participants to take home. Taste the satisfaction of your labor!
In this session we will continue to plant out the high caloric crop garden, focusing on corn, beans, the last of the potatoes, and maybe some summer squash. Join us and you’ll have the opportunity, in Part II, to harvest and take home some of the fruits of your labor.
Part I runs through Saturday, June 15th – 9:00am- 12:00pm
Cost: Part I – $15 per session
