Weather and the Possible Causes of the Redwood Complex Fire

Brad Charboneau, meteorologist with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, will discuss the latest science on how drought, wind and the local topography super-charged the Redwood Complex Fire that ignited in the early hours of Sunday, October 8th.

This knowledge may help us to better understand the causes of this particularly ferocious fire and to better prepare for the future. An opportunity for questions and answers will follow the presentation. The event is free. All are welcome. Donations for fire victims will be accepted at the event.
